Job Description
We are hiring a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our facility and machinery operating safely and efficiently. You will handle preventive maintenance, hydraulic servicing, blade replacements, metal fabrication, and general facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Repair & Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment. Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts post-production.
- Hydraulics & Tooling: Perform oil/filter changes on hydraulic equipment and routinely replace leather-splitting guillotine blades.
- Installation & Fabrication: Read blueprints/manuals to install new machinery. Cut and weld metal to repair or fabricate custom parts.
- Inventory & Records: Log all maintenance work and parts used. Work with purchasing to reorder low stock.
- Facility Support: Assist with basic building maintenance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record in industrial machinery maintenance and hydraulic systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in welding/metal fabrication and reading blueprints or service manuals.
- Organization: Record-keeping ability for parts and service logging.
- Bonus Skills: Basic carpentry and plumbing skills, or experience with leather-processing machinery.
salary: $43,000 - $52,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and machinery to ensure they are always in proper working order.
- Maintain machinery and equipment by cleaning them after use, adjusting parts, and lubricating moving components to ensure proper, efficient function.
- Change blades on the guillotines that split the leather and change filters and oils on our hydraulic machines.
- Record all maintenance and repair services performed and keep track of all materials and parts used during the repair process.
- Work with purchasing to replenish materials and parts when inventory grows low or is depleted.
- Be able to read manufacturer manuals and blueprints and follow directions when installing newly acquired machinery.
- Cut and weld metal pieces together to fabricate new parts, assemble equipment, or repair broken parts as required.
- Building Maintenance, basic carpentry and plumbing skills a plus.
